Chanel has been putting me though my paces since 2013. I started from below zero, overweight, unfit and with high insulin levels. Exercise was required but I struggled to climb a flight of stairs! After 18 months I am definitely fitter and healthier – my blood sugar levels are well managed and I can now run!!! Not a marathon and not fast but I can run!! I haven’t run in 30 years!
I have to travel for work and Chanel is always super flexible and willing to work with my schedule, making up sessions I have had to miss. Her professionalism, knowledge and experience makes her a great trainer – coupled with a wonderful sense of humour when, on occasion, I curse her and that final set of push ups.
Whilst I started this journey for personal health reasons, it has since become a family affair where fitness and healthy eating are now part of all our lives and I largely contribute that to Chanel’s motivation. My kids are now much more active and my housekeeper now jogs three times a week – she has impacted on an entire household.
Chanel’s patience, her encouragement, dogged determination to get me up that hill has paid off and I’m very grateful. But I still hate C-sits and squats, I don’t think that will ever change!!
